JobsDB.com launched
the World's Largest Outdoor Signage



February 18, 2000 - Hong Kong - JobsDB.com, Asia-Pacific's leading interactive recruitment network launched an outdoor signage of record-breaking size today, prominently displaying the URL-JobsDB.com-on the net of the City Golf Club driving range facing the harbour of Hong Kong. Measuring 545-foot long and 67-foot high (165m long x 20.3m high), this massive signage is the world's largest outdoor signage.

 

The current record holder is the Organics shampoo billboard in Kiev, Ukraine. On February 2, 1999, the 414-foot 11 inches long and 55-foot 5-inches high (126.48m long x 16.88m high) billboard was installed on the facade of the Ukraine Department Store and remained in place for three months.

 

To mark this momentous occasion, JobsDB.com held a presentation and ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was attended by its clients, business partners and celebrity guests. A 500-foot long ribbon made of balloons was stretched along the length of the JobsDB.com signage for the ceremony. JobsDB.com will submit an application to the Guinness Book of Records for the record-breaking outdoor signage.

 

Masters of ceremony, Ms. Christy Chung and Mr. Antony Chan of the Wynners, conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the longest ribbon in Hong Kong to celebrate the presentation of the world's largest outdoor signage. Approximately 800 clients and business partners of JobsDB.com and celebrity guests participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The celebrity guests included Josephine Siu, Louis & Cecilia Tan, Michael Wong and Kenny Bee.
