Unemployment in HK Further Increased
The unemployment rate in Hong Kong has increased in January - March 2009.
According to the latest labour force statistics released by the Census and Statistics Department, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased from 5.0% in December 2008 – February 2009 to 5.2% in January – March 2009. Increases in unemployment were mainly in construction, transportation, accommodation services and finance. [ more ] |
