Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

·       Development of the VSONICS web-based monitoring solution suite and technology products and services  

·       Development of a large scale real-time data processing and management infrastructure

·       Deliver plant-wide connectivity solutions for next generation machine monitoring and industrial automation applications.

·       Programming on the latest forefront of technological platforms such as MySQL, Apache, PHP and others

·       Configuring of web-based cross-platform software solutions running on Apache and IIS

·       Functional mapping and database tuning for the implementation of VSONICS solutions

·       Framework setup and integration works with other external host systems.

·       Work closely with the operations and engineering teams to deliver a world-class platform measured in capability, availability, and performance.

Requirements:

·       Bachelor's, Master's  Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, I.T. or related technical field.

·       At least 2 to 5 years software engineering experience designing and developing modern web-based server solutions in rapid development cycles.

·       Solid working experience in Software Engineer position with C/C++ languages

·       Demonstrated experience building Internet-scale distributed server systems and delivering them into a 24x7, high-availability production environment.

·       Expert in Internet protocols and technologies including HTTP, SSL, DNS, TCP/IP, XML, JSON, and RSS.

·       Solid understanding and practical experience in Object Oriented Design & Programming, Design Patterns, Software Development life cycle process and procedures.

·       Good knowledge/experience of GUI applications and programming

·       Good knowledge/experience of computer hardware, interfacing, networking and data acquisition

·       Preferable some knowledge/experience in SCADA, HMI, DCS, PLC and OPC.

·       Ability to work in a team environment, whilst showing initiative.

·       Good interpersonal and communication skills.
