Advertising Account Manager


Your responsibilities will be:

Customer focus within and external to the company

  • Ensure effective communication and cordial working relationship with advertisers, editors, graphic designers and other groups/individuals as necessary.

  • Aggressively seek and develop opportunities with new clients.

  • Provide customer sales service to advertisers.

  • Maintain interaction with existing client base.

  • Implementing improvements and innovations to products.

  • Act as resource for product-related inquiries


Ensure high quality output in a timely and efficient manner

  • Manage day-to-day aspects of contract publishing-related advertising matters.

  • Liaise with advertisers to ensure materials are submitted in the proper format and in a timely fashion.

  • Work with editors, graphic designers and account managers to ensure that materials are received and processed in a timely fashion.


Contribute to on-going financial success of the team

  • Uncover new leads within defined territory of accounts.

  • Create new opportunities through telephone sales and in-person visits with prospects.

  • Identify and evaluate market trends.

  • Proactively work to understand product direction, positioning, and market strategies.


Others:
  • Must be creative, resourceful and be able to work independently.

  • Work with other internal departments to maximise journal exposure to prospects.

  • Maintain a high degree of motivation and self-confidence.

  • Other duties as directed by the Publisher.


Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Information Sciences, Arts, Commerce or other relevant qualifications from recognized institutions.

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of the use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • High degree of motivation and self-confidence.

  • Good negotiation and problem solving skills.

  • Strong inter-personal, written, and oral communication skills.
