Career Spotlight: Graphic Artist

Importance: A graphic artist makes use of images with the use of computer graphic applications to create designs for materials that are often used for advertising and promotions (e.g. posters, flyers, billboards, etc)

Career Path:  Job opportunities for graphic artists abound as businesses continue to rely on advertising to increase sales. A graphic artist can rise to the Art Director position in an advertising agency or graphic studio. Once he achieves sufficient experience, he can also build his own business. There are also lots of opportunities abroad for this profession.
