encourages professionals to try their hand at putting up their own business.
"Hanapbuhay, Kita, At Iba Pa", a Career Fair
that JobsDB joined last September 2-4 2005
at Megatrade Hall 3, held seminars on entrepreneurship.
At least 700 participants attended. They gained an edge when they submitted
their resumes at the JobsDB booth which would help
promote their credentials to recruiting employers.

IN CALL CENTER EVENT
THAT ATTRACTS THOUSANDS OF VISITORS

Phils, Inc. joined The Contact Center Association of
the Philippines’ (CCAP) Call
Center Conference & Expo 2005, the country’s official
and biggest event for the contact center industry, held last August
23 and 24, 2005 at the EDSA Shangri-La
Hotel in Ortigas Center.
This
mega job fair which focused on the call center industry attracted some
5,000 delegates, guests, visitors, and job applicants. 
The
two-day event combined an industry conference tackling the major issues
and best practices, an exhibit of the latest solutions and services,
and a job fair for industry professionals and fresh graduates. It brought
together the industry experts, the leading vendors, and the top call
centers in the country. It is the first of its kind in the Philippines.
The
conference was attended by close to 500 executives
and officers from outsourced contact centers and in-house
call centers as well as investors and entrepreneurs. Some of topics
covered included contact center trends, telemarketing, keys to profitable
operations, managing high-performance organizations, workforce management,
industry standards, agent hiring and retention, HR outsourcing, effective
training for agents and supervisors, CRM, multi-channel solutions, voice
communications, contact center monitoring and recording, among others.
The
event has been such a resounding success that CCAP
has announced plans for the second Call Center Conference &
Expo in June 2006.

BRINGS JOBS TO MANILA SOUTH VIA THE FIRST METRO SOUTH JOB FAIR
JobsDB brought more job opportunities to jobseekers in Paranaque, Muntinlupa,
and other areas in the South of Manila in a 3-day job fair known as
The First Metro South Job Fair which ended last August
13. The event was held at the Expo Trade Hall, Festival
Supermall, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
More
than 70 companies posted their job openings and entertained
the queries of jobseekers.
Making
the Metro Job South Fair different were entertainment shows and raffle
prizes.
VIPs
who graced the event included: Mayor Jaime Fresnedi; PMAP President
Lina Aseneta, Rotary Club Muntinlupa Filinvest Chartering President;
Luz Pacifico, Muntinlupa Chamber of Commerce; Officer Alex Kho, PESO
Muntinlupa Chair; Glenda Zamora, PESO Las Pinas Officer; DOLE representative;
Filinvest Alabang Inc. Vice President Michael Gotianun; General Manager
of Jobs DB, Jayjay Viray; and the Classified Ads Division Head of Philippine
