CAREER CARD INTRODUCED IN JOBSDB-CWC JOB FAIR

The Career Card, a first in the Philippine recruitment industry, showed about 3,700 jobseekers that job hunting in a job fair can be done easily, quickly, and without resorting to the usual stacks of papers given out as individual resumes.

JobsDB Philippines, Inc. launched the Career Card in the Career and Admissions Fair held last January 25 and 26 at the Mega Trade 2, Mega Mall.  Jobseekers who register online and who are already JobsDB members were given the Career Card which contained their online resume and which they can use as frequently as they want in the 68 hiring companies that participated in the Job Fair.

Partnering with JobsDB was the Consortium of Women’s Colleges, an association of exclusive ladies’universities:  Assumption College, the College of Holy Spirit, Miriam College, and St. Scholastica’s College.

VIPs who graced the affair were:

  • Dr. Patricia Licuanan, Executive Committee Chair of the Consortium of Women’s College and the President of Miriam College;
  • Sr. Mary Gertrude Borres, the President of Assumption College;
  • Sr. Ancille Elvena, President of the College of Holy Spirit, and
  • Sr. M. Angelica Leviste, President of St. Scholastica’s College.

The Special Guests of Honor were:  Agriculture Secretary and Presidential Adviser for Job Generation Mr. Arthur Yap and Manila Times President Dante Ang II.
