Applicants lining up for the Speed Hiring activity
Over 4,000 jobseekers stood witness to the dawning of the paperless job fair system which brought them closer to more jobs and better opportunities during the eJob Expo 2007 last May 31 and June 1 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.
The People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), a professional organization of executives and practitioners engaged in human resource management (HRM) and industrial relations (IR) work, in partnership with JobsDB.com, Asia-Pacific’s no.1 online recruitment network, introduced the newest innovation, the Career Card which encodes resume in a stored job database and enables the holder to apply in similar job fairs in the future without having to reprint their resumes.
The eJob Expo 2007 created a benchmark in all future job fairs as it featured almost a hundred participating companies, well-attended career seminars, and the first-ever speed hiring process in the Philippines.
Top government officials who graced the event were Sec. Arthur Brion from the Department of Labor and Employment and Chairman Bayani Fernando from the Metro Manila Development Authority.
