Effective Leader
In the organisational context, strategic visioning is a critical enabling skill for leaders. Strategic visioning is the process that sets the framework for what the team desires to become. The outputs of visioning include a mission and vision statements, values statement, a list of strategic objectives and development of strategic timeline.

Brain Storming and Planning
Bringing the strategic vision to reality involves brain storming for concepts, ideas and developing plans to implement the strategic vision.

Situational and Process Analysis
Having developed the plan, the next 'tool' in the manager's toolkit is the ability to carry out situation and process analysis to ensure there is no hiccup in implementing the strategic vision.

Problem Analysis and Decision Making
There is a need to have skills in problem solving and decision-making in the strategic vision implementation.


Workshop Leader
Kamal Kant is owner of Next Transition, a training consultancy focusing on people transition, organisational change and development for businesses adjusting, adapting and transiting to the new knowledge based economy. He conducts a variety of workshops in the areas of management and development as well as career growth, people skills, personal effectiveness and strategic development.

Kamal also provides research and writing services for articles, presentations and reports to corporate and individual clients. His articles have been published in the local news media, professional publications and the Internet. He also lectures in Strategic & Change Management and Human Resources Management in SHRI's Diploma in Human Resources Management programme.

Kamal has worked with a number of large organisations over the past 29 years and has developed extensive experience in administration, operations, business growth, work place efficiency, people development and management.
