A Perfect Fit – The Resume to Your Dream Job

In a very keen job-hunting environment, job seekers constantly face the challenge of more applicants than jobs available in the market. As such, a focused résumé and cover letter is essential to help you secure that job interview.

On 8 November 2008, Mr Steven Chong, our facilitator for the seminar “A Perfect Fit – The Resume to Your Dream Job”, shared with more than 60 participants on how to strategize and prepare a professional resume as well as how to avoid the common pitfalls that jobseekers commit.

As the saying goes from Sun Tzu's The Art of War, “It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.”

In line with Sun Tzu’s wise saying, one excellent piece of good advice that Mr. Chong gave the participants was, “Think like the hiring manager.”
