Imagine walking into an event, feeling lost, not knowing how to mingle or initiate a conversation. Networking is important not only for social reasons but also for professional and career purposes.

 

On 21 July 2007, Sandra Sandu-Reeves, facilitator of this networking workshop, spoke to about 120 participants on the how’s, what’s and why’s of networking. Participants also learnt how to “work the room” at cocktail parties and networking sessions.

 

According to Sandra, networking is not only about the talk but also projecting yourself confidently and effectively to start and build a relationship with others.
