It takes only 3 seconds, or even less for someone to evaluate and develop a first impression of you. How people view you is definitely affected by various factors such as your body language, demeanor and dressing.
These first impressions can be nearly impossible to reverse or undo and they set the tone for the relationships that result from the first impression - especially professionally.
So, it's important to know how to brand yourself professionally.
At the National Library on 12th April 2008, our facilitator, Elaine Heng, shared with more than 70 participants the essentials of personal image - elaborating on topics such as dressing, colour-matching and body language. Elaine was totally prepared for the talk, bringing a wide range of samples and reference materials for demonstrations, and fully engaged all the participants in interactive and fruitful discussions.
During her seminar, Elaine highlighted common problems and offered practical solutions for the participants, with many of them asking her questions. It was a truly engaging and insightful workshop, and many participants stayed back after the talk to further their discussions with Elaine.
